Catching up with David & Jim
We met at a social night held in a large regional centre in NSW. We quickly fell in love with each other over the following months. We decided to have a committed relationship, packed our bags and two dogs (Lucy and Kira) and moved to inner city Sydney.
HIV joined our relationship in 2005. It has not always been smooth sailing, but the strength of our relationship and the strength that we gain from each other emotionally helped us through some difficult times.
As time went on HIV drew us closer together and made our relationship stronger. We developed a lot of trust in each other. If anyone’s going to be in a pos-neg relationship for the long-term, trust and honesty (at the beginning) are important.
